I ghostrode my most recent DIY bike project home.
She’s a 1976 Schwinn Traveler III road bike that I’m converting to a single-speed/fixie. :)

disconaivete: “This video captures glimpses of something human, we get a peek inside something real between people - could be loss, longing and love. A lot of things which is about being a human being.. It is told in a way where it opens up more aspects than it concludes. Maybe something we can’t…

Bike Ladies Unite!: Other awesome feminist cycling... →
bikeladiesunite: As we’ve been over many times, I started Bike Ladies Unite because I couldn’t find any ladies & bikes tumblrs that didn’t post objectifying bullshit. I am happy to say that in the past month, two other blogs have emerged that also reject sexualizing women cyclists! I love seeing their posts and I…

Re: Queer Activism on NU’s campus
I’m ready to kick up an advocacy storm. It’s about time that we see a few more queer inclusive policies pushed onto the administration’s agenda. After all, Northeastern prides itself on being home to a diverse community, let’s make it safer for everyone. Still, as a queer, trans* activist on campus, I’ve regularly felt like I’m tied up in red tape, and this is by no means consensual.  Let’s go...

trans* inclusive healthcare at NU, well we need it
I had a not so great experience going to get tested yesterday. The doctor asked me if I slept with “girls or boys.” When I responded telling him that my partners were mainly female-bodied, he assumed I was talking only about women. He did acknowledge that he phrased his question using condescending language and that he should have said “women or men.”  He also seemed a...

On Praising Tomboys and Rejecting Feminine Boys →
mindsplatter: Teaching the lesson that things associated with females are considered weak or soft and things associated with men are considered strong, at such a young age, is a dangerous and slippery slope.

Chevron Must Pay $18 Billion to Indigenous... →
brodypost: AmazonWatch: Yesterday, an Ecuadorian appellate court upheld a historic $18 billion award against Chevron for the company’s deliberate contamination of the Ecuadorian Amazon. The decision is the largest environmental award ever handed down and the result of an 18-year legal battle brought by some 30,000 indigenous peoples and farmers seeking a clean up of contaminated sites,...
